Margaret O’Brien

Margaret O’Brien is Co-Founder of Ennis Therapy Centre located in Ennis, Co Clare where she maintains her private practice. She is an experienced psychotherapist who works primarily with young people aged (11-24) and their parents/caregiver(s)). In addition Margaret works alongside GP’s, Psychologists, Schools and Social Workers to support adolescents, young adults and their families. Margaret also offers psychotherapy to adult clients.

Margaret has previously worked with community organisations to include the counselling department of Limerick Social Services Centre, and Limerick Youth Service. She also has a background in Law and has worked as a solicitor in private practice for over 10 years.

Patricia Browne

Patrica is an accredited psychotherapist and a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

She works primarily from a Gestalt based perspective and is also trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) which incorporates CBT skills and techniques. Through personal and professional experience Patricia identified a lack of support for struggling adolescents and their families. She furthered her professional qualification with specialised advanced training in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy which focuses on the therapist-client relationship, identifying and appreciating the unique needs and the development process adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12-29.

Patricia previously worked with student counselling service in the University of Limerick and later joined the team in Oakwood Counselling Centre in a private capacity where people presented with a wide range of issues. She also has extensive experience with charity support services, and is co-founder of the Clonmel Counselling Centre, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, where she currently works in a private capacity.  She is a skilled facilitator and works individually with adolescents, adults and couples in a variety of clinical settings.  In addition to issues such as loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and identity issues, presenting issues with adolescents include transition from primary to secondary school, bullying, parental separation or mental health problems and developmental difficulties.

Cait Duggan

Cait is an experienced adult and adolescent psychotherapist working in both private practice and a number of agencies in the Kerry region, such as Ballyspillane Family Resource Centre, Killarney Adult Education Centre and the No Name Club.  She also has extensive clinical experience working with adolescents as a facilitator of sexual health education with agencies such as South West Counselling Centre and the Rape Crisis Centre.  In her work with adolescents she supports the uniqueness of each family and helps to build better relationships working with the adolescent and their parents.

Mary Synnott

Mary has many years’ experience of working in the Mental Health Service. Currently working within a multidisciplinary team in the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist/ Psychotherapist.  Mary has extensive experience in working with young people and families and dealing with a range of mental health difficulties. In addition to liaising with schools, educational settings and other agencies as necessary. Mary delivers education sessions and workshops to schools, agencies and health care professionals in respect of youth mental health promotion and management. Mary has extensive training, knowledge and years of experience in the area of eating disorders, food, body and weight issues.

Gerry Mitchell

Ines Hasenfuss

Ines works with adolescents and their families offering a safe and supportive environment for adolescents to express and explore emotions, difficulties and needs; and providing support to parents in order to alleviate stress and improve the relationship between adolescents and their parents. Ines has significant experience in birth related trauma that may affect adolescent development, socially and academically. She is also familiar with difficulties that arise through immigration, like social integration and cultural acceptance. Ines has worked with the Social Services Center and MyMind and works as adolescent psychotherapist with the Northside Family Resource Center in Limerick City. Mary Houlihan

Mary has been working as a counsellor and therapist for the past 10 years. Her work to-date has been with Limerick Social Services and the Children’s Grief Project. She also maintains a busy Private Practice in Limerick. Over this time she has supported Adults and Adolescents through difficult and painful experiences.

Albert McCarthy

Albert has maintained a private practice in Cork since 1999. He is currently Clinical Director of the Cork Adolescent Psychotherapy Clinic specialising in working with adolescents and also works with adults and couples. He is also trained in family systems (Bert Hellinger) Mediation and Mindfullness. Maria maintains a private practice in Limerick where she is a clinical assessor and a senior adolescent therapist at the Rosemount Counselling Centre.
