Louise aims to create a secure space for the client to explore their lived experience and express themselves. Presenting issues she works with include:
Children’s emotional and behavioural issues, and learning difficulties.
She has worked since 2008 with clients in a variety of settings, including schools, employee assistance programmes, Kildare Counselling Service, Direct Provision Centres, and the Strengthening Families Programme.
Louise has completed her studies towards the MSc in Adolescent Psychotherapy from the University of Northampton, in conjunction with Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre. Louise also earned an Honours degree in Psychology from UCD, a professional Diploma in Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapy, a qualification in Hypnotherapy from the National Guild of Hypnotists Inc., and a postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy. She has successfully completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children and young people and has undertaken an in-depth Adolescent Psychotherapy training, from a Gestalt Relational perspective.
Louise is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), holds Garda clearance, and works within the ethical framework of the IAHIP and under The Children First Act (2015).
