Julia Roddy
Julia Roddy is a fully accredited Gestalt psychotherapist, working with adolescents, adults and couples in Galway.
Julia recently completed the MSc Adolescent Psychotherapy with Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre in partnership with University of Northampton. She initially trained as a gestalt psychotherapist and completed her PGdip with Gestalt Institute of Ireland and Foundation in psychotherapy with Norman Warden Galway. She also holds a BA, in fine and applied arts, a BA in film and documentary, MA in Screen Writing, and a diploma in Irish. Julia is chair of Human Rights and Social responsibility for the International Association of advanced Gestalt and delivers programs to schools and therapists on working with young people through diversity, LGBTQ+IA, Race, and Neurodiversity.
Julia’s Back ground (1995-2017) was as a lecturer in GMIT now Atlantic University. She lectured in film and documentary, Screen writing and art. She co-developed and taught on the Creative Media Masters in the Atlantic University Galway. Her experiences in story and the arts plays a crucial role in her work as a therapist. Julia also enjoys working with groups. Other areas of interest include her training as a Family Constellations facilitator and Couples therapist. Interests include, Trauma, self-harm, LGBTQ+IA, diversity, and loss. Julia has experience of working with displaced people and offers some of her time volunteering with refugees living in Galway.

Christina Treacy
Christina’s qualifications and experience make her a highly skilled psychotherapist, especially in trauma and mental health support. Her work at the Galway Rape Crisis Centre, combined with her private practice in Galway City, allows her to provide critical support to individuals facing significant challenges.

Agata Nowicka
Agata is an experienced adult and adolescent psychotherapist running a busy private practice in Castlebar and online (via Zoom). Her approach is integrative combining Gestalt, bodywork and psychodynamic methods including art therapy, dreamwork and Active Imagination, which is highly effective at overcoming emotional challenges.

Martha is a specialist adolescent psychotherapist. Currently she is completing her MSc in Adolescent Psychotherapy and Development with Blackfort Adolescent Gestalt Institute. Martha holds a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the International College of Personal and Professional Development.
Martha runs a busy private practice in the heart of Galway City. In addition, she is a co-director of Chiron Community Counselling. Martha works with adolescents, and their parents to support both the young person’s development and the growth of healthy relationships in the family. Gina Dermody
Gina is an Adolescent & psychotherapist and an accredited supervisor and has experience working with both Adults and Adolescents. Gina is director of Adolessence a specialist Adolescent Psychotherapy service for Adolescents and Families in Tuam Co Galway. Gina works with both parents and adolescents to support and understand both adolescent and family development. Gina works with groups and schools as an adolescent educator running the Life Space Program. Life Space offers adolescents the skills and competencies to deal with the challenges of adolescent development. The program also supports educators and parents to deal with common adolescent challenges and approaches to both understand and deal with issues as they arise. Gemma MacNally
Gemma is a specialist adolescent psychotherapist working with both Adolescents and Young Adults (11 to 25 years) and their parents. Paul Baird Lewis
Baird is an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists who sees both adults and adolescents along with their families. John Whelan
John is an IACP accredited psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with adolescents in Galway.
Originally qualifying as a Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapist he furthered his professional development with specialised training and (RCNI) certification in the area of sexual abuse and trauma recovery. More recently John enhanced his strong commitment to supporting adolescents and their parents by completing an advanced diploma in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy.

Tara Hynes
Tara is an experienced and accredited Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, (IAHIP). She graduated from the University of Limerick with a Masters of Arts in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
Tara is passionate about supporting adolescents and has completed her training for a Post Qualifying Diploma in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy. This has illuminated her interest in how best to provide support to parents, as they parent their adolescent son or daughter. Tara has a special interest in trauma recovery and supported this interest, by completing Somatic Trauma Therapy in the UK with Babette Rothschild. Desera McCabe
Desera is a highly skilled and experienced psychotherapist maintaining a busy practice for both Adults and Adolescents in Galway city. She graduated with a P.G dip in Counselling/Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 2009. Since then she has continued to specialise in her practice having completed somatic trauma training with renowned author and trainer Babette Rothschild, whilst also completing training and certification in the area of sexual abuse and trauma recovery with the RCNI.

Carol Dine
Carol is an experienced and accredited psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). She is a graduate of the Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre. Olive Branagan
Olive is an experienced psychotherapist currently in transition into in a new post working with Adolescents and Young Adults with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Joan Sheridan
