Agata Nowicka

Agata is an experienced adult and adolescent psychotherapist running a busy private practice in Castlebar and online (via Zoom). Her approach is integrative combining Gestalt, bodywork and psychodynamic methods including art therapy, dreamwork and Active Imagination, which is highly effective at overcoming emotional challenges.

Agata is passionate about supporting adolescents and their parents at dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, difficult transition to secondary school, trauma, loss and bereavement, parental conflict and separation, low self-confidence and failure to launch by young adults. Martha McKeon Lynch

Martha is a specialist adolescent psychotherapist. Currently she is completing her MSc in Adolescent Psychotherapy and Development with Blackfort Adolescent Gestalt Institute. Martha holds a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the International College of Personal and Professional Development.

Martha runs a busy private practice in the heart of Galway City. In addition, she is a co-director of Chiron Community Counselling. Martha works with adolescents, and their parents to support both the young person’s development and the growth of healthy relationships in the family. She has experience working with many issues including anxiety, depression, parental separation, sexual identity issues, drug and alcohol abuse, relationship issues and trauma.

Gina Dermody

Gina is an Adolescent & psychotherapist and an accredited supervisor and has experience working with both Adults and Adolescents. Gina is director of Adolessence a specialist Adolescent Psychotherapy service for Adolescents and Families in Tuam Co Galway. Gina works with both parents and adolescents to support and understand both adolescent and family development. Gina works with groups and schools as an adolescent educator running the Life Space Program.  Life Space offers adolescents the skills and competencies to deal with the challenges of adolescent development. The program also supports educators and parents to deal with common adolescent challenges and approaches to both understand and deal with issues as they arise. Gina also works as an adolescent supervisor to both individual practitioners and organisations who work with adolescents.

Gemma MacNally

Gemma is a specialist adolescent psychotherapist working with both Adolescents and Young Adults (11 to 25 years) and their parents. She works both in private practice in Galway City and with Lets Get Talking, Galway.  Gemma works across a wide range of issues but has special interest in anxiety, trauma and general adolescent development, including self-confidence, sexuality, grief and relationships . Paul Baird Lewis

Baird is an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists who sees both adults and adolescents along with their families. John Whelan

John Whelan

John is an IACP accredited psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with adolescents in Galway.

Originally qualifying as a Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapist he furthered his professional development with specialised training and (RCNI) certification in the area of sexual abuse and trauma recovery. More recently John enhanced his strong commitment to supporting adolescents and their parents by completing an advanced diploma in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy.

In addition to managing his own private practice John also works within the Health Services Executive (HSE), the National University of Ireland (NUIG) and Youth Work Ireland providing professional counselling and psychotherapy services both to groups and to individuals aged 12 years and upwards.

Tara Hynes

Tara is an experienced and accredited Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, (IAHIP). She graduated from the University of Limerick with a Masters of Arts in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.

Tara is passionate about supporting adolescents and has completed her training for a Post Qualifying Diploma in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy. This has illuminated her interest in how best to provide support to parents, as they parent their adolescent son or daughter. Tara has a special interest in trauma recovery and supported this interest, by completing Somatic Trauma Therapy in the UK with Babette Rothschild. Here in Ireland, she obtained certification by RCNI Approved Postgraduate Specialisation Training for Counsellors in Issues of Sexual Violence and Abuse.

Desera McCabe

Desera is a highly skilled and experienced psychotherapist maintaining a busy practice for both Adults and Adolescents in Galway city. She graduated with a P.G dip in Counselling/Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 2009. Since then she has continued to specialise in her practice having completed somatic trauma training with renowned author and trainer Babette Rothschild, whilst also completing training and certification in the area of sexual abuse and trauma recovery with the RCNI.

She has facilitated training days in the area of suicide intervention and has held the position of psychotherapist, clinical assessor and designated liaison person for child protection with Pieta House.

Carol Dine

Olive Branagan

Olive is an experienced psychotherapist currently in transition into in a new post working with Adolescents and Young Adults with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Olive has a B.Sc. in Counselling &Psychotherapy and is a Registered General Nurse, She also holds a Diploma in Group work and a Certificate in Cognitive Therapy Methods in addition to a Post Qualifying Diploma in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy from the Blackfort Adolescent Gestalt Institute. Ursula Conboy

Ursula is Founder and Clinical Director of LEITRIM ADOLESCENT PSYCHOTHERAPY CENTRE.  She holds a PQ Dip in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy through the Blackfort Gestalt Institute and is passionate about working with adolescents while supporting their families.

Ursula maintains a busy private practice with offices in both Carrick on Shannon and Dromod, Co. Leitrim and is centrally located to Longford and Roscommon.

Ursula is a graduate of Tivoli Institute and holds certification in counselling skills from NUI Maynooth.  Ursula has additional training in Suicide Prevention and Domestic Abuse; Ursula has a great understanding of trauma in her work with both adults and adolescents.

In addition to managing her own private practice Ursula is also facilitates groups with STOP Suicide and a Domestic Violence Centre in the midlands.
